After news broke of Nike’s controversial $43 million Colin Kaepernick ad, protests started against Nike by the opposed in the way of burning their current Nike apparel. But it looks like the campaign has done nothing but boost Nike’s online sales to the tune of a 31% increase.
According to a report by Edison Trends, Nike’s online sales increased 31% from Sunday through Tuesday of Labor Day weekend, which is massively higher than last year’s 17% increase. Even though Nike’s online sales have increased, their stock has still dropped more than 3% since they announced their endorsement deal with Kaepernick.No word from Nike on either issue.
